
Born in McMinnville, Oregon, May 23, 1973. Received Bachelor of
Science degree in Political Science from Western Oregon University
in 1997. Received Juris Doctorate from the Wesley Truman Legal
Center and College of Law at Willamette University, in Salem, Oregon
in 2000. Served as a Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Charles E. Luukinen,
Presiding Judge of the 12th Judicial District for the State of
Oregon. Mr. Wilson has in the past, and is currently litigating
matters before both Nevada State and Federal district courts, as
well as the Nevada State Supreme Court. Inducted into the Strathmore’s
Who’s Who of legal professionals in 2005, and is currently
a member in the American Bar Association: Litigation Section; Clark
County Bar Association; Nevada Trial Lawyers Association, and State
Bar of Nevada.
During Mr. Wilson’s career he has had the
opportunity to litigate before the Nevada Supreme Court, and as
a result of his efforts has had the distinguished honor of having
two such litigated cases result in published opinions from the
Nevada Supreme Court: Northwest Pipe Co.,
v. Eighth Judicial Dist. Court ex rel. County of Clark, 42 P.3d 244 (Nev., 2002)(Mr. Wilson
was defending Northwest Pipe Co., in a wrongful death action);
and Hall v. Enterprise Leasing Company-West 137 P.3d 1104 (Nev.,2006)(Mr.
Wilson was defending Enterprise Rent-A-Car).
In addition to his appellate practice, Mr. Wilson has extensive
trial and litigation experience, and has successfully taken numerous
cases to trial, and verdict. During the 2006 calendar year alone
Mr. Wilson took six (6) different cases to trial and verdict. The
complexity of each trial was significant as reflected by the fact
that each trial lasted at least one week. Over the years, Mr. Wilson
has taken stood in front of many juries arguing cases, which have
ranged from both simple and catastrophic motor vehicle accidents,
to sexual assault and negligent security claims, and various premises
liability actions. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Wilson
has arbitrated and mediated hundreds of matters in the defense
of business and on behalf of injured victims. Mr. Wilson continually
seeks to be an advocate for his clients. In addition to his litigation
experience, Mr. Wilson has counseled and advised various Home Owner’s
Associations as to their obligations and duties pursuant to the
Nevada Community Association Uniform Act, and is a member of the
City of Henderson’s, Neighborhood Leadership Program. He
has advised his corporate and business clients as to business practices
with a focus on risk management assessments, construction insurance
claims, and best practices to address security concerns and vicarious
liability issues raised by employees.
